Galo Nuño is the Head of the Monetary Policy and Capital Markets Division at the Bank of Spain, currently visiting the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). He is also Research Fellow at the CEPR and CESIfo.
Galo has 20 years of experience in central banking, commercial banking, and management consulting. He has previously worked at the European Central Bank, BBVA, and Boston Consulting Group. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and a MSc in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
His research focuses on monetary policy, and finance. He has published in journals such as Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy: Macroeconomics, or the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, among many others.
